Personally I think that this term has been more productive than any year in art (dont tell Ms. Winston) When I say productive I mean learning and the actual products. I think that one of the reasons I was so productive is because I was engaged. This is because there are many people in this class that are very good at art. Actually almost everyone in this class is very good at art. They are also my very close friends. They all take it very seriously and personally I want to impress and show them that I can work just as well as them. (sometimes I think my art work was even better than some of theirs!) I have learned about painting, shading, pastels, and mostly taking my time on art. This is something that I really learned this term and will take with me more than learning how to shade with paint. Although this is very useful I still think that learning how to take my time on things is the biggest thing I learned. In Ms. Winstons class you had to finish the project you were working on in the aloted time she gave you. For the record I do love Ms. Winston and her class but I am just using this as something to compare to. Anyways in this class you give us the time we want to complete our projects. If we can not complete it by the time the next project starts we can just continue it later.

A heroic act is stoping an act of evil, help find a cure, bring peace to a country, help a lost person, or stand up for someone, It ranges from little to huge. A heroic act must consist of one helping make something better. Weather thats giving or taking something/someone away. Does this make you a hero if you help your grandmother with the groceries....no not really. This is considered a good deed but you did not go out of your way to help a problem dramatically. A hero is Barack Obama, Derek Jeter, or member of the army,

Products

My group gave me feedback that I should get names and include puns into them. They also said that I should be descriptive when describing it on the bottle. They say for the one with duck oil keeping rain off of you I should include a picture of a duck on the bottle.

What if....? idea and feedback

In a post on your blog, explain the concept for your what if piece and describe the critical feedback and/or suggestions you got from your group in class today.

My group said that I should make the house in the bubble more realistic. Right now it looks like a bubble you would blow. But Dom says I should make it look like the bubble in E.T. This is great feedback and I need to reconsider what the scenery is going to be.

Involved

On your blog describe the concept for your text piece and the feedback you got on your idea from your classmates.
My word that I am doing is involved. I am doing this because I am INvOLVEd with nature. I made the letters different colors. The "in" was colored green. The v and d are different colors, and the olved are different colors than the rest. My classmates said that I should make the v and d blend into the background. The purpose of this word is that in it it says in love. The v and d are not used. This os why I should make the two letters blend into the background. My classmates also said that I should make a landscape underneath it. This is good advice as I was already going to do so.

Blindfold drawings.

Describe in detail how it felt and how you coped with drawing while blindfolded.

Here are some questions to inform your writing...you should not just answer these questions in a list as they appear below. Read them. Think about them. Then put them away and just write...

When you heard the directions what thoughts went through your head?
How did the blindfold help or hinder your ability to picture a place?
How did you start to translate your thoughts into marks on the page?
How did the act of drawing blindfolded change if at all as time went on?
How do you feel about the outcome?
How is the resulting drawing similar or different to drawings you have made in the past?

I knew that this was going to be very tough because normally I am not the best artist but with a blindfold my art was going to look...very different. My first emotion was happy I thought this is very cool. I have never done anything like this before. Once the blindfold was on my head I lost some confidence. I knew exactly what I was going to draw but how was the question. When the time begun I put my pencil to the paper drew a square lifted my pencil up then was feeling very stupid. i knew that I couldent lift my pencil up. I lost my place. I then tried to finish the dock I was trying to recreate. In my mind I tought it might look something like I was picturing. Once I took the blindfold off i relized how difficult it was. The dock I had tryed drawing was a disaster. The images were ant size on this large ocean size paper. I loved looking at what I had drawn. I knew it wasnt going to be very god so I wasnt disapointed at all. I liked it and would gladly share this with some people. Along with feeling like I had been drawing for an hour It was an interesting feeling just drawing not knowing where you are.
